La feligresía del Patrón San Sebastián el miércoles 10 de enero vivió momentos emotivos al recibir de manos de funcionarios de la Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco el anda procesional que fue sometido a un proceso de restauración integral y quedó listo para las celebraciones patronales cuyo día central es el 20 de enero.
El anda de madera tallada, es de estilo barroco andino, presenta abundante ornamentación, es policromado y dorado en pan de oro y su fabricación data del siglo XVIII, constituyendo un elemento patrimonial muy importante en las celebraciones religiosas del Patrón San Sebastián.
De acuerdo al informe técnico de los responsables de la restauración, este bien religioso se hallaba en mal estado de conservación por el incendio que afectó al templo de San Sebastián en setiembre de 2016.
Las altas temperaturas del siniestro produjeron ampollas en los soportes del anda, los movimientos que realizan los cargadores durante las procesiones causaron inestabilidad en la estructura, aflojamiento de los ensambles y presencia de grietas, fisuras y craquelados.
“Todos estos problemas se han superado con un trabajo científico y artístico de nuestros especialistas restauradores y entregamos a la feligresía este anda procesional restaurado al 100%” refirió la Arqta. Lourdes Blanco, Subdirectora de Patrimonio Cultural en representación del titular de la Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco, Dr. Vidal Pino Zambrano.
Cientos de fieles del Patrón San Sebastián que se congregaron en los talleres de Tipón agradecieron con suma emoción el trabajo restaurativo de los restauradores de la entidad cultural.
“Que nuestro Patrón San Sebastián derrame su bendición a todos ustedes, muchas gracias por recuperar nuestro patrimonio cultural” expresó César Palomino, Presidente de la Hermandad del referido santo. Mons. Fredy Aparicio, en representación del Arzobispado de Cusco también expreso su agradecimiento por el magnífico trabajo realizado en los talleres de Tipón.
De este modo, el conjunto artístico religioso del Patrón San Sebastián quedó listo para las celebraciones religiosas en el distrito cusqueño del mismo nombre.
